According to Hefferan, the parks and natural resources department gave an enthusiastic thumbs up when approached about grant support for the hummingbird project at Pitchford Park.
The dog park will have clear separate areas for large and small dogs. Supervisor Frank Viviano said that the dog park will also include a shade pavilion and custom art installation along the fence.
