A legendary figure in the annals of the University of Windsor Lancers has passed away.
Richard (Dick) Moriarty, who served as the university’s athletic director for 29 years, died on June 23 at the age of 88.

“I think it was about great relations with people,” said Sean Moriarty, one of Dick’s sons, about his father’s passion for the Lancers.
“When I think of my dad, I think of a very kind, caring, and compassionate person. He really was an encouraging type of person.”
