Phone chargers recalled due to overheating causing fire, electric shock

Health Canada has issued a recall for a Belkin phone charger and its stand due to overheating, posing fire and electric shock hazards. According to the February 11 recall, the item, Belkin Portable Wireless Charger and Stand Special Edition, poses as a fire hazard due to a manufacturing defect in the power supply which can cause it to malfunction and overheat.
