principles that we could use to serve other people and to be a real witness and that s what we re called to do. you said something interesting to me during the break because i ve gotten how-to books out on women in the bible and you said you got a start about one that lot of people may not know so i am curious. everybody knows about mary and eve and may be ruth and ezra , but there is one of my favorite stories and it s the story of jl. jl is linked up with another brave woman named deborah. deborah is the leader of israel. israel is under great oppressio from the canaanites and the men are afraid to go to war. they guys are scared in deborah says to the leader of the military, i want you to go in and take out the king of the canaanites sisera and he says i m not going unless you go wit me deborah, leader of israel an if you go with me i ll go, but
if you don t go i m not going. she says all go but when god delivers the evil enemy into ou hands you will get none of the glory and the glory will go to woman in he said fine, god delivers them into their hands, but the king sisera escapes and while he is fleeing, another woman jl sees him, it knows tha he is the evil king and instead of hiding from him hoping he passes by, she engages him she brings him into her tent, she makes him warm milk and covers him up with a rug to hide him s he goes nappy nappy and while h sleeping she drives a tent peg with a mallet through the templ of his head and pinned him to the floor dead. this is a shocking story of fearlessness and boldness on behalf of jl. i love that you brought up that story because it breaks up so many of the misled women wer not important in the stories in the bible or even the leadershi
