(Submitted to KBRX) West Holt Health Ministries has teamed up with Black Hills Energy to bring a Can Care-A-Van to Atkinson on Thursday, June 6 from 11 am to 2 pm. The Can Care-A-Van will be held at the Gazebo in downtown Atkinson. Bring cans or bags of unopened non-expired food and then enjoy a walking tack. Cash donations will also be welcomed. Hunger can affect people from all walks of life. Millions of people in America are just one job loss, missed paycheck, or medical emergency away from hunger. But hunger doesn't affect everyone equally - some groups like children, seniors and people of color face hunger at a much higher rate.
