MR RAY ALPHANSO WILLIAMS better known as BILLY BOY of Campden Park died on Thursday December 17th at the age of 89. The funeral takes place on Saturday January 2nd at the Campden Park Wesleyan Holiness. The body lies at the church from 2:00 pm. The service begins at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at the Lowmans Hill Cemetery.

Kern Z. Mayers has been hiding out in SVG since 2006 Social Share
A man who has been wanted in Pennsylvania in the United States (US) since 2006 and is on that state’s 10 most wanted list, was apprehended in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) this week.
Kern Z Mayers, a Vincentian national, was taken into custody on Thursday by local police, after law enforcement in the US alerted Vincentian authorities that Mayers was hiding in SVG.
Commissioner of Police (COP) Colin John confirmed to SEARCHLIGHT on Saturday night that Mayers had been taken into custody and extradition proceedings will be held.

Commissioner of Police Colin John has acknowledged the role of citizens in the recapture of escaped prisoners Veron Primus and Olric “Chucky” Hanson.
In a release issued on Thursday, hours after the recapture of the two murder accused, the police said that at about 9:30 am, acting on credible information received, a party of police officers journeyed to a house in Campden Park and recaptured the escapees.
“During the process, a struggle ensued and Olric Hanson received a gunshot wound to his left leg. He was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital for medical attention,” the release said.

Some residents of Plan, Lowmans Leeward were startled Thursday morning when gunshots rang out; shots they later learned had been fired by police during the apprehension of two men who had escaped from prison the day before.

Escaped prisoners, Veron Primus who was serving a sentence at Her Majesty’s Prison for escaping lawful custody and was awaiting trial for murder, and Ulric ‘Chucky’ Hanson who was awaiting trial for murder, robbery and burglary, have been recaptured.
The men were apprehended at an apartment in Plan, Campden Park, around 9:30am on Thursday.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) on Wednesday had launched a manhunt for Primus and Hansan, after they were found missing from their cells at Her Majesty’s Prison in Kingstown, around 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
