Reporter were told francisco plans to file a civil lawsuit against the school district. We expect a formal announcement on monday. New at 5 00, a special needs student attacked on a school bus by the parent of another student. This is the father accused in the attack. 43yearold burenss herd, its said he climbed onto his sons school bus and accused other students of bullying his 8yearold son. The bus was carrying special education students. It stopped on this block of carlson boulevard to pick up herds son and the father climbed aboard and allegedly attacked. Began yelling a screaming on students, focused on one student, picked him up and hit him against the side of the school bus. The fifth grader suffered a small cut to his cheek and ear. The father was arrested, police say he was intoxicated. Hes been charged with felony child abuse and hes in jail. 6 00. As darkness fell search and rescue teams combed an undeveloped area. Oakland police say they are still treating this as a missing persons case. Coke a federal investigator was seen sunday evening. Cokes car, cell phone, and credit cards have been located but still no sign of the missing mother. Investigators are not saying while they are searching an area that spans from interstate 80 to the city of vallejo. It was deemed that tonight we should start tonight to get it started. That this was made with the oakland investigators as well as our search and rescue personnel. Search crews paused their efforts early this morning and will resume around 8 00 a. M. Oakland police do have 56year old randy alana in custody. He has prior convictions for kidnap and rape. Hes being held on a parole violation. Cokes friends say she dated alana years ago. Meantime Oakland Police are searching for the person who abandoned a stolen truck caught fire causing a nearby fire to also go up in flames.
