Today, our 234 year Old Organization continues to serve the people of the city of new york. We do this through our cultural and educational programs. They include our lecture series, of which of course denies lecture is a part of. Our general Society Library which will be celebrating 200 years next year. We are taking youthe 95008. Here we are in front of the historic ansley house here in gorgeous campbell. The weather could not be any bettmpbell has changed quite a bit in the last several decades. We are here to highlight the Amazing Things the city has done and all the things they have to offer. It is officially summer, right . Yes. Like five minutes ago. Brand new. The summer solstice is here. I was driving by campbell with my family and pointed out, hey, there is campbell. On the way home i pointed out and said again hey, there is campbell. The point is it is like growing up here. Bell was there but never spent much time here. I never spent much time here until we started working here back in 2005. Got to know this great spot. A lot of character, charm and history. The water tower behind us. Also, the people that live in the city is kind of in their 40s. It is kind of young here. Yes. And we have heard about how the people that have grown up in campbell love to stay in campbell. Th

Lets take you to maui and talk about those devastating wildfires. The total of 6 buyers, still burning across maui, and the big island tonight. Much of the focus remains on rescuing people who have been trapped since the blaze began. Tonight, we were talking about 67 people dead, but that number is expected to rise. Rescuers are now reaching new areas, going into some of those burnout homes. The Historic Town of lahaina, among the hardest hit. Some 80 of the fires there are now contained, and some people are getting the chance to go back to check on their homes, to see if theyre still standing. There are also growing questions about how much was done to warn people as those fires started reaching across maui. Hawaii has warned warning signs of it is but they were never activated.
