The new cardiovascular medical tower, the final piece of a master facilities plan, will reorient the hospital to Congress Street and add private rooms and state-of-the-art procedure rooms.
PORTLAND Construction on Maine Medical Center’s new Malone Family Tower hit a milestone today as construction crews held the traditional “topping off” ceremony, a long-standing practice amongst builders. The beam added to the 265,000-square-foot.
The $2 million gift comes from Eric and Peggy Cianchette of Portland, whose daughter is a cardiac nurse. The flagship hospital of MaineHealth says it's seeking more funds in order to keep pace with the demands of the pandemic.
