CALAMBA, Laguna: Police Regional Office Calabarzon regional director, BGen. Carlito Gaces, led Saturday s launch of the PNP Help and Food Bank at Camp Vicente Lim. The Philippine National Police, as the prime mover of this project, through the Joint Industrial Peace Concern Office, is working hand in hand with participating government agencies, the Federation of Philippine Industries (FPI), companies in the ecozone, and other stakeholders who are advocates of emergency response and disaster preparedness to facilitate the cycle of food donations. During the activity, the Department of Social Welfare and Development 4A, through Director Barry Chua, represented by Ricky Bunao, chief of the Administration Division, turned over the donations to PRO4A received by General Gaces. The food donations include 94 sacks of 25-kilogram (kg) rice, 21 sacks of 50-kg rice, 60 boxes of noodles, 45 boxes of sardines, five boxes of hygiene kits, six boxes of bottled water and 10 boxes of powdered milk.
