Buffalo County health department plans COVID-19 vaccine clinic for 100-Mile Garage Sale

NELSON, Wis. – The Buffalo County Health and Human Services Department will host a walk-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Nelson this weekend, during two days of the four-day 100-Mile Garage Sale.
The garage sale will take place Thursday through Sunday in 22 Wisconsin and Minnesota communities.
The clinic, during which the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be dispensed, is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday next to Beth’s Twin Bluffs Café in Nelson.

Tuesday, a crew from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District took its first official ice depth measurements of Lake Pepin for the 2021 season. The measurements are used to help the navigation industry determine when it is safe to start moving commerce up and down the Mississippi River on barges.
