Dallas Morning News Charities launches Kids’ Summer Feeding Campaign to address area hunger
The initiative aims to raise $150,000 for nine North Texas nonprofits that provide food for children in need.

The Dallas Morning News Charities has launched its Kids’ Summer Feeding Campaign to support nine North Texas organizations that offer summer programs to feed hungry children.
The campaign is scheduled to run through July 7 and aims to raise $150,000. Every dollar raised will help provide access to about three nutritious meals for children.

Grant Moise, publisher of The Dallas Morning News, said Friday that meeting the $1 million mark allows the organization to help serve a growing need during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Dallas Morning News Charities announced that it has surpassed the $1 million mark in fundraising for North Texas nonprofits.
In a year when the demand on food banks and charitable organizations has increased dramatically due to the coronavirus pandemic, the funds raised will go to help North Texas nonprofits that address homelessness and hunger.
