In effect, North West governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique, recognised merit in some 69 citizens who received medals on the occasion of the 2021 National day. The event at the Up- Station premises of the governor s office, featured beneficiaries who took home Medals of the Order of Valour, Sports Order of Merit and Merit of the Public Force. Cameroon is drawing nearer to getting a suitable mascot and anthem for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the selection of the three best anonymous proposals in each category. This was during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi who doubles as the President of the AFCON Organising Committee (COCAN) on May 5, 2021 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. Women’s Handball AFCON 2020 : Organising Committee Created
A decision signed recently by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education reveals that it is made up of two commissions and 12 sub commissions.
Preparations ahead of the Women’s Handball Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) are gathering steam with the creation of a local Organising Committee to assist in the organisation of the event slated for June 2021 in Yaounde, Cameroon. The decision to establish this body was signed recently by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, who doubles as the President of the Organising Committee. The Committee, as per the decision, is expected to work in collaboration with the organising committee put in place by the African Handball Confederation.
