Talented left-back Bowditch, who was briefly involved with Bridport this season, has decided to move to Uplyme. His switch represents a drop down in standard, with Uplyme involved at Perry Street & District Division Two level. Simier told the Bridport & Lyme Regis News: “He’s left to play with his friends. “It’s a shame he’s left but I appreciate why he’s leaving. He’s always going to be welcome if he comes back. “He wants to play with his friends, so you can’t stop a player doing that. You have to accept it.” To help mitigate the loss of Bowditch, Lyme have been active in the player market.
