ANGOLA â Business and nonprofit organization leaders from across Steuben County gathered at Glendarin Hills Golf Club Friday evening for the 8th Annual Ebbie Awards presented by the Angola Area Chamber of Commerce.
Dubbed the âEbbie Awards,â the Excellence in Business Accolades acknowledge the professionals that set the bar in their respective categories, as determined by community member votes.
Chamber member businesses are nominated by their peers, earning them recognition and prestige for their great contributions to their customers, the community and the Chamber itself.
The banquet returned after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
This yearâs awards banquet, held at the resort-style golf course, was sponsored by Cameron Memorial Hospital, which took home the honor of being recognized as the Best Business Contribution to the Community.

CAMERON, La. (KPLC) - South Cameron Memorial Hospital will soon begin offering COVID-19 vaccinations to qualifying groups.
If you are over 70-years-old or included in Phase 1A or 1B, call their vaccine number at (337)-605-0531 to have your name added to the list.
Phase 1A includes hospital personnel, long term care facility residents and staff, EMS, and fire department personnel.
Three fishermen fell through the ice while trying to walk on Big Turkey Lake.

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. Indiana conservation officers helped rescue three men who fell through the ice on Big Turkey Lake in Steuben County Wednesday.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers got the call that fishermen had fallen through the ice near 10200 west block of County Road 475 South. Brad Levitz, 61, and his son, Bradley Levitz, 40, were trying to walk on the ice. The father realized the danger and began to return to shore when the son fell through the ice, about 200 yards away from land.
