Credit balance increased by 2.2%

Muscat: The Sultanate has witnessed an increase in the total balance of credit granted by conventional commercial banks by 2.2 percent, the Camel Agency announced, Oman News Agency stated.
A report issued by the Central Bank of Oman confirms the continued growth of credit in the country, as the total credit balance granted by conventional commercial banks at the end of December 2020 registered an increase of 2.2 percent.
Deposits with traditional commercial banks have increased by 2.4% to reach about OMR 20.5 billion in December 2020, compared to the same period in 2019.
