Four rabid raccoon cases were reported in Camden County in the first quarter of 2022, the most of any New Jersey county in that span, with second-quarter numbers soon to be finalized.
According to the New Jersey Department of Health, the rabid groundhog is only the third of its kind to have been reported in the county dating back to January 1989.
After dozens of Camden preschoolers were rushed for treatment on Wednesday, the state issued a wider recall of school milk due to contamination by sanitizer.
