Learn more about that here If you would like to get tested here are some sites the Governor highlighted in his briefing today: Testing is available in Harrison Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harrison Community Center on Warren Street In Jersey City, tests will be available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this upcoming Monday and Wednesday at the United Way on Bergen Avenue, and from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday at the Bethune Center on MLK Drive.

Why eliminating health care disparities is easier said than done 19 Shares Those of us in health care understand that the pandemic represents just one more example of the disproportionately negative impact of health issues on people of color.  As stated in a 2017 National Institutes of Health report, “For racial and ethnic minorities in the United States, health disparities take on many forms, including higher rates of chronic disease and premature death compared to the rates among whites.” The current situation reinforces the importance of confronting racial and ethnic disparities in health status. In working to close these gaps, we can leverage the evolving focus on social determinants of health (SDoH) as the foundation of this effort.
