The city of Somerville set up three COVID-19 vaccination clinics in local churches on Sunday.Clinics were held at Holy Bible Baptist Church on College Avenue, St. Anthony s Parish on Properzi Way and the Brazilian Presbyterian Church on School Street as part of Somerville Vaccine Day. The clinics ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and were free and open to all people age 12 and older, regardless of immigration status or health insurance. Those who got vaccinated at those sites were also able to enjoy free food, music and a gift. Our mission is to bring (the vaccine) to where people are to make it accessible, and that s what accessibility is, said Jamila Xible of the Cambridge Health Alliance.Somerville Vaccine Day was a partnership between the city, Cambridge Health Alliance, Tufts Health Plan, the Everett Haitian Community Center and the three churches hosting the clinics.People who were unable to attend Sunday s vaccination clinics can also get a free vaccine at the CHA Vaccine Cent
