WindAction | Packed village hall hears concerns over wind farm plans

Residents of Llanddewi-Brefi gathered in the village’s community centre to discuss proposals to build a wind turbine energy park near the village. The plans, if they go ahead, would see up to six wind turbines reaching heights up to 755ft (230 metres) which is almost three times the average size of an onshore turbine (295 ft/90 metres.)

Aberystwyth pantomime group put on signed performance for deaf community

The Wardens pantomime group put on a signed performance of Cinderella on Sunday afternoon (14 January). BSL signer Tony Evans travelled from south Wales to Aberystwyth to sign the performance of the show for members of the deaf community. He has been signing The Wardens’ pantomime for a number of years now and told the Cambrian News how much he enjoys the experience.
