Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son (Photo: VNA) The 2022 is the year Vietnam and Cambodia celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations (June 24). Leaders of the two countries have chosen 2022 as the Vietnam-Cambodia and Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Year. Talking about the visit, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang highlighted the significance of the visit from January 19-20 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Prak Sokhonn. According to the ambassador, the two sides will discuss activities marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties, along with regional and international issues of shared concern. The visit will contribute to deepening and improving the efficiency of the “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term  sustainability” between the two countries, the ambassador believed.
