police will be out in force for super bowl sunday, the mayor says he doesn t want any instant replays of the giants celebration. fans were rowdy and pumped after the championship win on sunday and peaceful and nonviolent unlike the mayhem that marred the giants victory last fall when cars were overturned and bonfires lit and a muni bus smashed. the mayor will visit local sports bars suggesting they serve something beside hard liquor and asking them to sell cans and not bottles and working with muni but hopes of containing crowds at civic center have been nixed by the n because of copyright. that is a business decision. we will respect that. it would help center the celebrations but we will keep the city safe. to ensure we use the right type of buses we will not have electric buses but we will have diesel buses that are able to maneuver around the crowds and be re-directed. and a victory parade? last time they won it all in 1995 there was a blow out party but as far as t
vincent high school says they became aware of the allegations just before the christmas break and launched their investigation when students returned to school this month. and what they uncovered is troubling. they say a series of hazing incidents between varsity football players and jv football players took place in the school locker room during practice last football season. they would not tell us exactly what that hazing entailed but, they say, it was inappropriate and abusive behavior. it sort of crossed the line. it wasn t something you could write off and dismiss as boys being boys. it was a serious transgression. it s upsetting that it happened. it s upsetting that it happens anywhere and i am surprised. i m not surprised they are takinging care of it. i think it should be addressed, absolutely. it s nothing i can t do and half the men watching tv if you see this silly article. it was kid stuff. it was football stuff. it was man stuff. it ain t right. it wasn t n
sdz. good evening everyone. that that breaking news is happening in oakland where a police officer has been shot. it happened tonight in the fraught veil district at frain avenue and east 12th street. one person has been detaped. we understand police were investigating a hit-and-run car accident when they heard gunfire nearby. officers responded. turns out someone was trying to rip off a bike while a person was on it. somehow that led to a police officer getting shot in the leg. he is doing well tonight. you are looking at pictures of the scene from sky 7 hd of hea head. this is the second oakland police officer shot in the line of duty this week. the other one happened monday night about a mile away from tonight s scene. undercover detective was shot in the arm in his car. he was there investigating a shooting that had happened on sunday. police later arrested 2 suspected game members onnn parole and detained 3 other people in that incident. earlier today passengers on
