two women hit by a car are in the hospital this noon. thank you for joining us. i m alison starling. this morning s accident happened steps from the twin brook metro station. live from rockville is the latest information. they just clear the scene. police say this is where the women were, in this crosswalks, when they were hit by the sedan. notice the police tape. they are both in the hospital with serious injuries. once you see the pictures, it is hard to believe they survived. the images make you cringe. a 20-year-old woman from winchester crashed through the windshield, a 63-year-old woman from the upper marlboro flip over the car, hitting the roof and landed in the road. police say they were in this crosswalk directly across the twin brook metro station. this a driver heading south may have never seen them coming. we don t know exactly what it was which was the distractions. the sun can be very blinding. it is a very good possibility it may have played a factor. t
