TINA L. SCOTT EDITOR On Friday, April 8, 2022, Gov. Tony Evers signed Senate Bill 520 into law, and it is now known as 2021 Wisconsin Act 252. The Bill was authored by Rep. Calvin Callahan (R-Tomahawk) of the 35th Assembly District, which includes all of Lincoln County and portions of Langlade, Marathon, Oneida, and Shawano Counties. That bill authorizes over $41.7 million in bonding/general fund supported borrowing to build a new Type 1 juvenile correctional facility in Milwaukee.
