In the Waterloo Region, religious ceremonies under the COVID-19 red restriction category allow for 30 per cent capacity indoors, and up to 100 people outdoors. In the grey lockdown category, restrictions only allow for indoor capacity of 10 per cent for religious ceremonies.

Some local churches are still planning for in-person Christmas services this year.
