preparing? reporter: he s preparing, martin, in really an atypical way for a presidential candidate. most candidates will go through mock debates, stand at a podium and practice against someone standing at another podium. but no so for bernie sanders. he s really shying away from any sort of formalized debate prep at a podium. his campaign advisers tell me he is studying up. he s going over briefing books and calling experts, really digging in on the policy issues and the campaign has made clear that they know that this candidate is one that does not attack people, so he s not going to do any one-line zingers against hillary clinton onstage, he s not preparing for that, but he is preparing to draw policy distinctions with clinton. we saw a preview of that earlier today when the sanders campaign out of the blue sent out an e-mail with a link to bernie sanders 2002 floor speech. this is a big difference between hillary clinton and bernie
