Video clips have been released of a deputy shooting a seemingly suicidal 77-year-old man who appears to be holding the butt end of a pistol with two fingers.
Deputy Justin Williams shot a man who was armed with a gun May 7at Iglesia Ni Cristo in Vista. The wounded man was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, Sheriff's Department said.
At around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to Iglesia Ni Cristo, located at 1418 Calle Jules, after receiving a report of a man holding a gun to his head.
