lasting presence. nick paton walsh covered isis extensively on the battlefield and joins us from london. what are we learning? it is interesting to see these warnings come up as tightened tension occurs in northern syria. certainly the fate of some pockets held to the west of where isis were, but bit by bit insurgent style attacks against the syrian kurdish allies that were the bedrock of the u.s.-led campaign to move isis from its so-called caliphate territory. the fact that now we see these warnings is no surprise at all because even as isis began to lose its territory it was clear as sort of residual fighters were pushed out into the desert that they were beginning to plot attacks, again, those seem to have picked up in rhythm and there is still an enormous problem of isis supporters and isis fighters, tens of thousands of supporters held in one enormous refugee camp and thousands of fighters held in various pop up or permanent prisons there. the foreigners not necessarily
