Reporter Fremont Police say just before 4 00 in the afternoon, someone flagged down the officer to report the man. A citizen contacted him advising him that a subject was waving a pipe, threatening people. The officer found the man in the Shopping Center at mowry avenue and blacow road. There was a foot pursuit, confrontation which led the shots being fired. Reporter police say theyre investigating what happened but they did recover the pipe. They say the man was taken to a trauma center, his condition is not known. The officer has been placed on administrative leave. This is the fourth officer involvedshooting in fremont this year.
