Ritzinger is a now a student at UC Berkeley who plans to go into law after he graduates. From the ages of 23 to 26, Greg Ritzinger mostly lived out of his car in San Francisco. Struggling with substance abuse and estranged from his family, Ritzinger tried to save up enough money to stay at a motel once a week. Most days he wasn’t so lucky. He remembers jotting down the name of shops that let him use the bathroom after buying something.
