At approximately 145, we got a call that there was a crash and then a few moments later, it was struck by a truck that was carrying gravel, and we ended up with crashes in both lanes. Reporter this was enough to shut down both directions of 101. Im seeing trucks out here moving the gravel to the side. It seems like there was a lot. There was a lot of gravel. I can tell you think so i could not tell you how much. We had to close the road because we were fearful that people would spin out. Was anyone hurt . There was one driver with minor injuries. Reporter again, your thinking 25 to 30 minutes to get everything reopened or just one direction . We are hoping to get everything reopened and 30 minutes. We are doing our best. It will be dangerous out there on the road and if youre flying in the next 48 hours, expect delays and cancellations. I was just outside and i can feel the dip in the temperature. In addition to the bay area rain, zero snow, our temperature will feel a lot colder with afternoon highs only in the 50s. Heres a look at the storm. Over Northern California i am picking up on rain reports all the way down to ukiah, california. At the moment it is just moistening up. We can see a mix of rain and snow out there. This is a full storm in the levels are expecting to drop down to 2000 feet with advisories over areas of lake county. To the north bay, not many spots reporting the rain hitting the ground just yet but we are seeing the moisture in place and it will just take a little time before we finally see it get to the ground.
