This happening near the statue of liberty. That is his empty parachute floating into a parking lot. He had already cut himself loose trying to save himself by landing in the hudson river. Reporter an elite navy skydiver, freefalling high above the hudson river when his parachute fails. His chute didnt open. Reporter witnesses say when the skydiver was in trouble it looked like he had bailed out of his chute. Seconds later he plunged into the water.
