Shooting in Flint leaves 2 men hospitalized

FLINT, MI A shooting in Flint has left two men hospitalized.
About 6:13 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, Flint police officers and Michigan State Police troopers responded to the area of Bradley Avenue and West Court Street for reports of a shooting. They arrived to find two men, both in their 30s, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The two men were taken to Hurley Medical Center-Flint.
As of Friday morning, one victim is in serious condition and the other is in critical condition, police confirmed.
Police do not have suspects and their investigation is ongoing.

FLINT, MI Michigan State Police and the Flint Police Department are reporting the city of Flint’s first homicide of the year.
At roughly 9 a.m. Friday, Flint police responded to reports of a man slumped over the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the 700 block of West Dewey Street. Officers found a man in his 30s suffering from several gunshot wounds, who was then pronounced dead at the scene.
The city of Flint experienced a spike in violent crime in 2020. Flint hired a new police chief in 2020. Terence Green was sworn in Sept. 3, outside Flint City Hall.

FLINT, MI A man in his 20s is in critical condition after being shot in Flint on Thursday, Dec. 31.
Police were called just before 1:30 p.m. to the 2700 block of Riverridge Court, part of the Ridgecrest Village Townhouses near the Flint River and Iron-Belle Trail.
The victim had a single gunshot wound and was taken to Hurley Medical Center in Flint, per a news release from the Flint Police Department and Michigan State Police.
