Friday (March 19) will see IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge teams compete in the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 at Sebring International Raceway. The first sprint race of the season will have 35 teams entered, a drop of seven from Daytona.
In the Grand Sport class, there are 20 teams entered, down from 25 in Daytona. The five that aren’t entered are BGB Motorsports, BimmerWorld Racing, KohR Motorsports, FraSun Racing and Notlad Racing by RS1. BGB Motorsports previously announced that they were retiring their Cayman to focus on the new Porsche Carrera Cup North America, which debuts this weekend. BimmerWorld Racing appears to be focusing more on Pirelli GT4 America SprintX as they are fielding three cars there. Notlad Racing by RS1 is also primarily an SRO America team. FraSun Racing is a part-time operation.
Lake Mills postseason hopes end in overtime
The Bulldogs fell to Montezuma 64-61 in Monday s state quarterfinal.

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Lake Mills Bulldogs entered Wells Fargo Arena for the Class 1A state tournament with a perfect 25-0 record as the No. 2 seed. Their quarterfinal opponent would be No. 7 Montezuma.
After trailing by six at the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs outscored the Braves 21-15 in the second quarter to tie the game 40-40 at the halftime break. The game would go into overtime where Montezuma prevailed handing the Bulldogs their only loss of the season, 64-61.
Lake Mills faced little challenge throughout the season, steamrolling their way to an undefeated regular season, though, the postseason has been a different story. They trailed Bishop Garrigan – the 2020 Class 1A runners-up – heading to the fourth quarter in the district final but won by outscoring the Golden Bears 17-10 in the final frame. The substate final against West Fork – who finished fourth at state last year – was also a challenge through the first eight minutes and again in the second half, but the Bulldogs pulled away for the 54-40 victory.
Lake Mills has three seniors in the starting lineup, two of which – Linnen and Caleb Bacon – were key components to their success last year. The other, Ryan Huston, has stepped up in a big way. The senior played in only 17 of Lake Mills’ 26 games a year ago. This season, Huston has played in all 25 and started 24 of them. Huston is careful with the basketball, with only 18 turnovers all season and a key to the Lake Mill
