PHILLIPSTON It hasn’t been an easy year for local artists looking to display their work to the public. The pandemic has meant that many traditional art shows have had to be canceled in the interest of public safety.
That’s why expectations are high for the 2021 annual Spring Art Show sponsored by the Gardner Area League of Artists (GALA) and hosted by Red Apple Farm. The three-day weekend event, which will kick off on the evening of Friday, May 21, will feature more than 80 artists displaying nearly 200 pieces of their work.
“This is our biggest show of the year,” said GALA President Deborah Giordano, who said she expects hundreds of residents to turn out for event. “We have artists from all over the state and this is a chance for them to all get together and see each other’s artwork. And the public loves it because of the wide variety of media on display.”

PHILLIPSTON If you’re longing to get out into the fresh air, view and maybe purchase the works of a lot of talented local artists, and for the first time in a long time enjoy some live music, then Phillipston is the place to be this weekend. The GALA 2021 Spring Art Show is taking place this Friday through Sunday at the Red Apple Farm, located on Highland Street.
