polansk. tell us about this, this was about attorney/client privilege but if there s criminality, the pr privilege doesn t exist. reporter: right. john eastman was trying to keep these emails away from the committee and anyone else who wanted them. this is the second time the judge found these emails should be released, they can t be protected because of a furtherance of a fraud, it s called a crime fraud exception. this is a monumental finding from a federal judge. it does two things, potentially very quickly. right now eastman is in a position these emails could be released to the house select committee. previously they got emails right around january 6th. this is a wider portfolio, the entire month of december 2020 leading up. so a lot of additional context the house may not have had before. and the second thing it does, it has a federal judge on paper looking at documents that could potential evidence and saying what they actually mean. and his finding is that these ema
more pessimistic but more realistic when they can gain back particularly when you look at crimea. but these weapons are going there for a reason. that s because it s not just ukrainian intention but the u.s. intention to give them the ability to take back territory and not just defend it. caitlyn, we heard an empassioned plea from secretary of state blinken that russia s brutality should not become the new normal. is the administration worried that the clock is ticking on americans tolerating support for ukraine? reporter: i do think they realize it s softening to a degree. it s not where it was a year ago where we saw ukraine putting up this defense and it surprised so many throughout the world. i think it is when it comes to whags what is control on the hill. they do not want to continue providing support to ukraine. we ve heard from top republicans, mike mccall, the chairman of the house foreign affairs, they re confident they
war between the u.s. and its allies and russia. you hear western official alzheimer s don t want to describe it that way but you have the u.s. and its allies on one side, russia on the other side with china deciding to provide lethal assistance to russia, you would now have three super powers in effect involved in the largest land war in europe since world war ii. that is a prospect that speaks to the broader conflict going on between the super powers really on a number of fronts around the globe. that could lengthen this conflict and also add the risk of escalation beyond the borders of ukraine. caitlyn, you had a really interesting interview with defense secretary lloyd austin about all of this. can you tell us what he told you? yeah. this intelligence that they talked about, that china is poe tension bely preparing to do this, that they re considering doing it. they ve cautioned to say they have not made a decision yet, but it obviously raises the question to what jim was laying
