THE Cagayan de Oro City Health Office has recorded 27 new coronavirus
disease (Covid-19) cases, one of whom is a locally stranded individual and 26 are local transmissions, epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported Thursday, December 17.
This brought the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections in the city to 2,677.
Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 26 new local cases, nine are close contacts of previously confirmed cases, two are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 14 are local index cases, and one death.
Of the 2,677 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 394 are under the
returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category, and 2,283 cases are local transmissions.
