this morning, saturday, october 6, 2012. and good morning. welcome to the weekend. nice to be with you. we re here again. back again. one more time. we have breaking news a verdict in the trial of pope benedict s butler. we begin this morning with the race for the white house. and the abrupt turn brought on by the latest jobs numbers. the labor department said friday the nation s unemployment rate fell to 7.8% in september. that s the first time it s fallen below 8% since just after president obama took office in 2009. it s a bit of a relief for the president who is trying to move past a bad performance at the first presidential debate. his opponent mitt romney says the job numbers are deceiving. jan crawford is traveling with the romney campaign in orlando, florida. good morning. reporter: good morning. it has been a pretty tough week for the president. he s been trying to put that rocky debate performance behind him. that disappointed his supporters and energized
