The NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse tournament gets underway this coming weekend with five first-round games on Saturday, May 8. The second round features 16 games both on Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9, with the winners advancing to one of four regional sites the following weekend. The semifinals and finals take place May 22-23 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia where the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the City of Salem will serve as hosts for the championship event.
FIRST ROUND PREVIEW
Sixth-ranked Catholic (9-0) returns to the tournament for the 12th time and takes on Becker (8-4). The Cardinals are unbeaten in first round games (7-0) and have advanced to the regional semifinals five-straight times, while the Hawks are making their first appearance in NCAA postseason play.
