President Uhuru Kenyatta today at State House, Nairobi hosted elected Luo Nyanza leaders ahead of his development tour of the region later this week.
The President told the leaders that he was determined to leave a legacy of a strong, united and prosperous country, adding that together with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, they had resolved to pursue the dreams of Kenya s founding fathers.
“My brother (Hon Raila Odinga) and I are focused on leaving a legacy where young people have steady jobs, and are able to access basics needs and become a country where all citizens are proud to be Kenyans,” President Kenyatta said.

Ketraco eight-year land row in Kajiado finally resolved

An eight-year row between power firm Ketraco and the Maasai Community over compensation of land in Kajiado Central has come to an end.
The stalemate over land valuation had threatened to stall the 90km Isinya-Namanga project after the community rejected the offer of Sh 800,000 per acre at the rate of 35 percent as proposed by the National Land Commission( NLC).
