There are more than 380 active wildfires burning in B.C, including many in the Interior, that are contributing to poor air quality around the province.
“We have a lot of boat traffic,” said mayor Blair Ireland. “I personally witnessed the RCMP chasing yachts away from our area that were cruising up and down this morning.”
BC Wildfire Service officials said the wildfires that are burning next to the Shuswap Lake are some of the worst conditions the province has ever seen for wildfires.
