“Residents are asked to stay off neighbouring properties and respect the privacy of those who have experienced loss or damage,” said Emergency Operations.
The sprawling wildfire, which is currently estimated at 43,067 hectares, is burning in both the Columbia-Shuswap and Thompson-Nicola regional districts.
“Residents of these properties may go home at this time,” said the regional district. “Property owners must be prepared to evacuate again on short notice if required.”
