I often feel that I exhibit my offseason opinions better through FanPost than through comment, so here we go. I am making a mock 2021 offseason of what I am rooting for Shanahan, Lynch, Peters, and Puh-rog Muh-rah-tay to pull off for us. I will be assessing this by position, but first, I want to provide a prerequisite by examining the cap.
The 49ers currently have $13,000,000 in cap space. There have been many reports that the 2021 salary cap will be at $185 million rather than 175, so I will go based on that because it sounds like these reports are going to be right. That gives us $23 million in cap space, with an additional $3 million which should be coming in from the All-Pro bonus we gave Richard Sherman.
