Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 11 (ANI): The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Alumni Charitable Trust on Friday donated over 200 oxygen concentrators of 10L of capacity each to the Karnataka government.

A high-level meeting presided by the Covid task force head has approved procurement of medicine, RAT kit, and RTPCR kit.

In order to meet the increased demand and to facilitate vaccination of the age group of 18-44 years, 2 crore Covid-19 vaccines will be procured through global tender, Deputy Chief Minister and state Covid task force head Dr C.N.Ashwatha Narayana, said on Tuesday.
In addition to this, an order has been placed for 3 crore vaccines which include 1 crore Covaxin and 2 crore Covishield, he informed. This decision was taken in the high-level meeting. Javed Akhtar, ASC, Department of Health, Anjum Parvez, In-Charge, Drugs Procurement, Lata Kumari, MD, State Medical Supplies Corporation, Om Prakash Patil, Director, Department of Health were present in the meeting.
Bengaluru(Karnataka) [India], May 6 (ANI): A major disaster that could have spelled doom to many lives due to shortage of oxygen at KC General Hospital in Karnataka's Malleshwaram was averted by timely action taken by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N.Ashwatha Narayana and alertness exhibited by Dr. Renuka Prasad, who was monitoring the oxygen supply vertical in the hospital amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
