he Throat, which is currently playing in the Depth of Field competition at Docaviv. It is the third collaboration between Weiss and Borenstein (credited simply as “Effi & Amir” here) in the feature-length documentary format, and this time, it is about speech and language. The rainbow metaphor is actually put to good use, since certain similarities are undeniable: just as the white light disperses and reflects through the tiny droplets of water to create a rainbow, the same can be said about our breath, as the air bumps into the physical obstacles in our throat to create vowels and consonants.
