sometimes there s an interesting crime. a live stream, though, is different. everyone becomes a witness and a party to it. the longer it goes on, particular folks, as everyone understand on facebook are generally stronger represented geographically. i read in one account, unconfirmed, that there were tens of thousands of views before it was taken down. logic would dictate those are many in chicago who are classmates, friends or associates of those people. the nose that we ve just witnessed that there was no indication that any tips cake in from all those witnesses is harrowing. i will note that s not only a virtual then. there s famous cases where there have been loud violent crimes in packed urban areas with dozens of witnesses, and no one has called. there s a bystander discussion for that, and this is bystander apathy on steroids if i ve ever
