An Elgin man has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol - causing death, in connection with a fiery crash in August that killed his passenger.
Raymond Griffin allegedly lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll over. The vehicle came to a rest on the roof, and it became engulfed in flames. Byron Montgomery, the 17-year-old passenger in the vehicle, was killed.
