Apex, N.C. Christmas trees across the Triangle are selling out fast. Many local lots are totally out of Christmas trees for this season.
The North Carolina State Farmer s Market, which usually has 10 vendors this time during the holiday season, is down to three. We d like anyone to come out and be able to get a tree, said Byron May, co-owner of Jordan Lake Christmas Tree farm. And selling out as early as we have is disappointing.
For years farmers have been dealing with a Christmas tree shortage. But this, farmers say, is worse. May said that he doesn t know anyone who has any trees at this point in the season.
