Urban development minister Byrathi Suresh has insisted on the formation of ward committees (WCs) in Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), drawing inspiration from the Bengaluru model. The State government is pushing HDMC to adopt the Bengaluru model for the formation of ward committees.
