Man accused of killing girlfriend at Amalinda flat tells court she was abusive

Ayanda “Mpiriri” Matika, 52, who is accused of stabbing to death East London businesswoman Busisiwe Ngwadla, 37, at her Amalinda flat in 2019, told the East London high court that she was a cheater, abusive and had even made him cry. But Ngwadla’s brother, Thabo, stepped up and testified that Matika was so violent that his sister feared he would kill her and spoke of wanting to flee.
